MARGO’S is a fitness studio on the surface, and at its core a lifestyle and routine. We take daily habits seriously at our studio as this is what builds into results. At MARGO’S we call it inside baseball. These are the tips and tricks to help you optimize your MARGO’S experience.
1. Booking Your Week's Classes in Advance:
The key to consistency lies in planning. Owner Margaret swears by booking her week's classes in advance. “This way, it’s a carved out commitment instead of something I squeeze in. Plus, we keep our class sizes small on purpose. Now that we are filling up it’s important to secure the spot you want to fit into your schedule.”
2. Studio Slippers & Mat-Only Sneakers
At MARGO’S, hygiene is paramount. Swapping street shoes for studio sneakers ensures a clean, bacteria-free workout environment. It's a small gesture that goes a long way in maintaining your skin health and well-being.
3. Uniform
We live by the words “look good, feel good, do good.” Feeling pride in how you show up is a level of self-respect. We encourage our members to feel their best in the ways that it means for them. Margaret says “there’s nothing like a coordinated workout set to boost my mood, plus it’s like the thinking has been done for you!” In addition to sweat-wicking, active wear (t-shirts can cause back-ne), you’ll notice most members and instructors use claw-clips in their hair. “Hair ties are great in a pinch! We offer them at the glow bar but to minimize damage try a claw clip instead!” This prevents breakage & tangles during your workout plus, if wrapped right can help keep your blowout!
4. Opting Into the Rosewater for Its Benefits:
MARGO’S offers a luxurious touch of rosewater post-workout. Not just a pleasant fragrance, rosewater offers skin-soothing benefits. It helps reduce redness, inflammation, and promotes hydration, adding an extra layer of self-care. We highly suggest opting in post-class!
5. Go to all the Classes as Often as Possible
Variety is the spice of life (and fitness.) Margaret designed the method to be an all encompassing workout routine that supports total body health. Maximize your fitness journey (and reap the rewards faster) by diversifying the classes you go to and coming to the club as often as possible.
6. Scheduling Recovery:
Rest is an integral part of any fitness routine. Whether it's a rest day, STRETCH class, or a massage, prioritizing recovery ensures you stay injury free, balanced and energized. Margaret swears by the flagship RECOVERY SALTS. “I started making this for myself out of necessity. I needed a product that would do more than help me physically. I also needed spiritual relief. While the magnesium sulfate relieves muscle fatigue and inflammation, it’s the combo of pink himalayan salt and rose that truly sets this product apart. I find I crave it.” Use it as often as needed.
7. Community Connection
Fitness is not just a solo endeavor at MARGO’S it's a community experience. We value the camaraderie and support from fellow classmates and instructors. Reach out to the instructors, let them know your needs so they can best support you. Connecting with others who share similar fitness goals adds a social dimension to your journey, making each class an opportunity to build lasting connections. Margaret advises “bring a friend to share the experience but don’t count on them to be your accountability buddy. It’s just not their place. Know that if you’re starting your journey at MARGO’S your team will become your friends and that’s a good thing!”
